We have had an unusually mild fall this year which means we are still being plagued by flies and ticks. But we still have some of our flowers in the garden blooming. My creeping phlox which blooms in the spring has some flowers on it and my spring bulbs are coming up too. So we are enjoying the mild weather while it lasts and trying to find time to take walks in the woods. Today our goat, Alabu, Allie for short, has let us know that she is ready to be bred, so later today I will load her into the back of my station wagon and go see about finding a mate for her. If all goes well we will have 1 or 2 baby goats (kids) next Spring. Hopefully they will not come the same day as our daughter's wedding :o)

Soap of the Month
We have had many requests to have a soap of the month sale, giving folks an opportunity to try a featured soap at a reduced price. This month we are featuring Frankincense at $3.45.

Frankincense is a Christmas tradition dating back to the very first Christmas when the wise men brought it as one of the gifts as a tribute to Jesus the newborn king. It was used in medicine and as a perfume. It is a very costly and fragrant gum distilled from a tree that is found in Persia, India and Arabia, as well as the East Indies. Frankincense is warm and sensual and a popular scent with men and women. We use a wonderful fragrance oil recreation of this ancient scent.

Guest Bar Sale
We are in the process of changing our guest bar shape to accommodate our new labels. The new guest bars will be 2 inch rounds. We have quite a few oval guest bars in stock that we are offering at a 25% discount. Stock up now for Christmas as these will make great stocking stuffers.

Cold Relief Blasts
Last winter we introduced Cold Relief Blasts. Our customers who have tried them rave about them, so we thought we might give them away as a gift to orders over $50.00 to introduce people to them this cold season. They are a powder you can use in your bath, or in a basin of hot steamy water. They have a blend of essential oils noted to help clear congestion and just make you feel better.

Seconds
We still have some seconds and have added more to our seconds sale . We have increased production on our most popular soaps, and now have a limited supply of seconds which we are going to offer on our web page while supplies last. Our soap seconds are the same as our regular soap, but are made by taking the ends from the soap log and molding them to form a regular size bar. The only difference is that they do not look as pretty. We wrap seconds with a tissue paper band around the middle and seal it with our label. They are about the same weight and size as regular bars. The price will be $3.00 a bar, a substantial savings from our regular bath bars.
