It seems as if everyone has had very odd weather this winter. While ours has not been catastrophic as some parts of the world, it has been very unusual. The first week of January we had a few days of enjoying 60 degree weather and eating dinner on the porch. Our son, home on Christmas break took advantage of the mild weather and took some friends trail riding several times. The last time it was so warm he had to give the horses a bath afterwards as with their thick winter coats they got very hot and sweaty. Less than 2 weeks later, we had an ice storm which is more common for this time of year and made for some interesting pictures. I have also taken a picture of Allie, our expectant momma goat, so you can all see her progress.

Monoi de Tahiti Soap
We have a new soap that I formulated for especially dry skin. It is made with “Monoi de Tahiti” (“scented oil of Tahiti”) This oil has been renowned as a Polynesian beauty secret for centuries. Authentic Monoi de Tahiti is from the Cocos Nucifera variety of coconut grown exclusively in French Polynesia and the native Tiare flower, or Tahitian Gardenia. Monoi de Tahiti is said to be more moisturizing than plain coconut oil, and has many nutrients that serve as a natural replacement for body and hair oils. This oil is naturally scented with coconut and the lovely lightness of the Tiare Gardenia, which gives this soap a light pleasing fragrance. February Clearance Soap Sale. We are still working on making room on our shelves by discontinuing some of our less popular soaps. This month we have decided to discontinue our Fresh Scent ($3.25)scent. We are truly sorry if we are discontinuing your favorite scent, but as we develop new products, we need to make room for them. The good news is at least you can stock up now at a discount price. We will be making some fragrances available on a seasonal basis. Cold Relief Blasts
Last winter we introduced Cold Relief Blasts. Our customers who have tried them rave about them, so we thought we might give them away as a gift to orders over $50.00 to introduce people to them this cold season. They are a powder you can use in your bath, or in a basin of hot steamy water. They have a blend of essential oils noted to help clear congestion and just make you feel better.

Seconds
We still have some seconds and have added more to our seconds sale. We have increased production on our most popular soaps, and now have a limited supply of seconds which we are going to offer on our web page while supplies last. Our soap seconds are the same as our regular soap, but are made by taking the ends from the soap log and molding them to form a regular size bar. The only difference is that they do not look as pretty. We wrap seconds with a tissue paper band around the middle and seal it with our label. They are about the same weight and size as regular bars. The price will be $3.00 a bar, a substantial savings from our regular bath bars. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to Soap of the Month items.

The first week in January I had to take pictures of the horses having a bath when the temp was almost 70 and about a week later I was taking pictures of the ice storm.
