There is a so much going on here these days we have decided to start a newsletter.

First of all we wish all of our Alabu family a safe and happy New Year. Here in the northeast we are starting to feel like we are in the thick of winter. We have been having fun with the horses and goats out in the snow. One of our fields is flooded and froze over and the kids (ours, not goat kids) are enjoying ice skating on it. The horses and goats always wander over to that end of the fence and watch them skate. I'm just glad their pasture is snow covered instead of ice. It was 9 degrees this morning as we were getting ready to feed the horses and goats. When it is really cold they all have ice on their whiskers, but they don't seem to mind a bit.

Discontinued Items:

We have been working on some new products and need to make room for them on the shelves. We have decided to discontinue 5 of our soap scents and make two others available only for Christmas. We are truly sorry if we are discontinuing your favorite scent, but we have been trying to do this for a few years.

Price Increase and March Coupon:

As with most businesses, it has been a struggle to contain cost. We are faced with the challenges of increased fuel and labor cost. Effective February 1, 2006 we will be applying a 6% price increase to all of our products. For all customers that place an order between now and March 1, we will be sending another 10% coupon in the email confirmation notice that you receive after we actually ship your order. This will be a 10% coupon good between March 1 and March 16.

Responding to customer requests, we have created a Winter Dry Skincare Collection. This time of year the combination of winter's cold and dry indoor heat brings on dry skin. We have also had many requests to create a natural relief for cold symptoms. We have been using this for family and friends for years and have decided to share it with you. As always it's not a cure for the common cold but it does provide some comfort through the process. Cold Relief bath blast. Winter brings on dry skin and colds. We think once you try these you won't want to do winter without them.

The volume discount is applied after the coupon is applied. For example, if you place an order for $115.00 you would receive 10% off of the $115 ($11.50) and the volume discount range is applied to the remaining amount. In this case, 10% of of the remaining $103.50 ($10.35).
