Wow where did the month go? There has been very little time here for anything but Alabu. We haven’t had too many problems with the new webpage, but we would like to thank all of you for letting us know about any problems you encountered so we could fix them. We have been working to get everything ready to go to the Extracts; Discoveries in Wellness and Beauty Trade Show in NYC in August. It seems like a long time away but we have to have everything ready to ship down there in early July. The kids just keep getting bigger and all the animals seem to be getting along quite nicely. I haven’t been able to get a snap shot of it yet, but the horses let the little guys jump up and put there front legs on them. I was really surprised the first time I saw them do it as I didn’t think the horses would put up with such nonsense. Well I better get back to packing. Hope you are all keeping cool!

Our customers have spoken and the winning names are Suds and Bubbles, thank you Rosemary of Brewer, Maine for submitting such cute and appropriate names for these little fellas. Soap of the Month

We have had many requests to have a soap of the month sale, giving folks an opportunity to try a featured soap at a reduced price. This month we are featuring Citrus Splash. This fragrance says summer; it is a light blend of refreshing uplifting scents of Lemon, orange, grapefruit, litsea. It is one of our most popular essential oil fragrances. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to Soap of the Month items.

Clearance Sale
July Clearance Soap Sale. We are bursting at the seams here at our Alabu workshop and  still working on making room on our shelves by discontinuing some of our less popular soaps. This month we have decided to discontinue our Honeysuckle, Paradise Retreat and Lily of the Valley scents. We are truly sorry if we are discontinuing your favorite scent, but as we develop new products, we need to make room for them. The good news is at least you can stock up now at a discount price . We will be making some fragrances available on a seasonal basis. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to clearance sale items.

Seconds
We still have some seconds and have added more to our seconds sale. We have increased production on our most popular soaps, and now have a limited supply of seconds which we are going to offer on our web page while supplies last. Our soap seconds are the same as our regular soap, but are made by taking the ends from the soap log and molding them to form a regular size bar. The only difference is that they do not look as pretty. We wrap seconds with a tissue paper band around the middle and seal it with our label. They are about the same weight and size as regular bars. The price will be $3.00 a bar, a substantial savings from our regular bath bars. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to Soap of the Month items.

We love hearing from our customers. We get a lot of notes each month and many we put up in our Testimonial section. We do not alter the notes that we get (other than the occasional spelling error or miss-placed word). We thought it might be helpful to highlight one each month that we found particularly interesting.

Olive Oil Soap

We have had many people write and tell us they have allergies to so many different oils. To try to make a soap to meet the needs of super sensitive skin we have created Olive soap, also known as Castile soap. It is very mild and the ingredients list is so simple, but so good for your skin. We start with goat milk that we culture into buttermilk, dissolve the sodium hydroxide and add Olive oil. That’s it. It does not have the same rich creamy lather our soaps are noted for but I think it is better than most Olive oil soaps. And best of all it can be used on the most sensitive skin.
