Even though the groundhog seems to think it will be an early Spring, the weather is letting us know it is still winter. Sub freezing temperatures have dominated this month, but single digit temps didn't keep us from getting almost 2 feet of snow on Valentines day. January was marked by very little snow and February by unusally cold temps and too much snow, which meant we had to shovel our way to the barn to do chores. Most folks around here were just thankful we did not get 11 feet like western NY. But we admire how those folks pulled together to help each other and took whatever amount of snow they got all in stride.

By the end of the month the snow finally settled enough that we could do a little snowshoeing with our 6 month old puppy Chia. I have some pictures of her enjoying the snow. I tried taking some pictures of our expectant momma goat Allie, so you could see her progress. But like many expectant momma's she was not interested in having her picture taken. All in all we have been enjoying the beauty of winter

We have had many requests to have a soap of the month sale, giving folks an opportunity to try a featured soap at a reduced price. This month we are featuring Stress Relief at $3.45. A popular blend of Eucalyptus and mints, with a healthy helping of natural essential oils. Cool and refreshing top notes of peppermint and spearmint are believed to reduce fatigue and increase mental alertness. Essential oils of lavender, clary sage, and juniper berry are considered to be calming and uplifting.We introduced this soap in 1999 and it has been a favorite ever since. Baby Face Roll-On
Baby Face moisturizing oil is now available in a roll on applicator. It is 0.35oz. of 100% Squalane oil. Clearance Sale
March clearance Soap Sale. We are still working on making room on our shelves by discontinuing some of our less popular soaps. This month we have decided to discontinue our Vanilla Lace ($3.25)scent. I hate to discontinue this one, for me it is a very romantic fragrance. The down side is it's very dark color. Even though it is about my favorite fragrance, it's is a slow seller and it must go. We are truly sorry if we are discontinuing your favorite scent, but as we develop new products, we need to make room for them. The good news is at least you can stock up now at a discount price. We will be making some fragrances available on a seasonal basis. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to Soap of the Month items.

Seconds
We still have some seconds and have added more to our seconds sale. We have increased production on our most popular soaps, and now have a limited supply of seconds which we are going to offer on our web page while supplies last. Our soap seconds are the same as our regular soap, but are made by taking the ends from the soap log and molding them to form a regular size bar. The only difference is that they do not look as pretty. We wrap seconds with a tissue paper band around the middle and seal it with our label. They are about the same weight and size as regular bars. The price will be $3.00 a bar, a substantial savings from our regular bath bars. NOTE: Coupons and special offers do not apply to Soap of the Month items.

Alabu Farm
I have had lots of opportunity to take pictures of our animals enjoying the cold weather. I hope you enjoy the pictures, but don't worry about the animals, they really don't seem to mind the cold at all and look forward to the extra hay they get to eat to help them stay stay warm.

Dear Alabu: Just got my first order yesterday and wanted to let you know how much I love the products already. Because of the type of work I do (I am a bakery manager/cake decorator) I cannot wear gloves, so I am always sanitizing my hands and they are constantly going through the "wet/dry" cycle. Consequently, they become extremely dry and many times will crack, becoming very tender. Nothing I tried would replenish the lost moisture in my hands. I bought 2 of your Shea Butter lotion sticks (along with several bars of different soaps) and in a matter of one day my hands were soft instead of like alligator skin. I am sold!
