October 2006
We met this lady who raises oxen, she said they were the sweetest creatures.
The quilt exibit
The Goat barn, it is actually goats, sheep, alpaca and swine. I was asked to help judge the 4-H herdsmanship that day.
Back at Alabu, after all the spring rain the flowers did better than expected.
Alabu & Ruth; see the puffy cheeks? Goats are ruminants which mean they chew there cud(over and over again) I try not to think about it :o)
Everyone is waiting for cornhusks.
I decide they can help me.
I tried to get a photo of them eating down in the ditch but they were too curious.
Odd as it seems these big horses were scared by the camera flash. Scratching each others backs is something they do to comfort each other.
Our faithful friend Roka, she went on all our back packing trips. Notice she has her boots on in the bottom picture. She loved winter camping.
